Hello My fellow MARKETEERS!
AND I DO Mean MARKETEERS!
All for one and one for all! (Yes, Really!)
Over the years we have all had to stick together, help another out, and facilitate connections among our colleagues to continue to climb within this growing industry… and pick out the bad apples from time to time.
Remember when you first got into this biz? How awesome it was to go to an event, give out samples and educate consumers while having fun, and making a pretty decent hourly wage?
Now some of you have grown into full time reps for comapnies. Many of you aspire to be market managers and staff managers and get as deep as you can in this line of work!
I want you to know that I LOVE EXPERIENTIAL MARKETING!
I have seen some AMAZING programs over the last 8 years.
Every year I see new types of events, executions, practices and promo items that continue to make me glad I am in this industry that I am so deeply dedicated to and proud to be a part of.
However, I continue to see staff that is of low quality that don't seem to care about the program as much as they do about their paycheck. Granted, a promo event is not a world-changing, humanitarian endeavor (not usually). But many of us fail to realize that in this line of work, a warm body, complete with a brain and good personality is a dime a dozen!
I have started my staffing agency DEVOLUTION SOLUTIONS. It has been a challenging, yet rewarding mission of mine. I want to succeed where others have failed. I aspire to reward my good workers where other agencies have overlooked talented individuals. My other mission is to make every attempt to maintain open, honest communication with staff and clients, while getting my promo teams PAID IN A TIMELY MANNER!
I hold my staff to a HIGH STANDARD, and I expect my staff to hold me to the same level of excellence.
I am writing this for YOU, my dear market managers, my talented brand ambassadors, my beautiful promo models and my hard working road warriors living from tour to tour. I send out this advice to the rookie promo folks realizing what opportunities lie ahead this year as well as the veterans with 100s of events under their belt: Keep working hard, maintain a good name for yourself and NEVER do anything that you wouldn't do if somebody was watching.

As a new company we do not have the huge offices with dozens of employees like the Event Pro, GC or Encore, etc., but we have the passion for events, and want to keep everyone happily working and paid in a timely fashion.

Nice attempt man, trying to trap these newbies into thinking you are a reputable company. EventSpeakers, please review the previous postings carefully, most are posted by Devon. He created new accounts and is trying to build his database by adding fluff replies.

I'm not trying to bring you to justice but dude there are many other ways to network WITHOUT LYING!!!!!!

I'm not disputing that these are NOT real people because they probably are REAL PEOPLE FROM YOUR DATABASE!

There's a new show called "Lie to me" where the interrogators notice flaws in people's facial expressions. There are scientists who can prove handwriting that is similar. There is people like me who are not stupid and can read through the clutter and Alessia's post that is written by the same person!!!!! Obviously some of them are real, like Lisa's, but it's okay to have ruined your rep already. Just stick to craigslist postings that you've done multiple times in every single city on the site. You'll get there bro. I'm a fiscal conservative who loves people who work hard and take on the risk of creating a business from the ground up. But I HATE people who LIE!
