When preparing to do a mobile/ guerilla style sampling event, are you responsible for obtaining the health dept, street and vehicle permits or is that the responsibility of the client? I'm guessing there is no set standard as to who has the responsibility but wanted to know who usually takes care of the permits.
Any feedback is appreciated. :)

Hi Kanne,

While not coming from an agency but experienced voice, guerrilla marketing is without permit hence the guerrilla classification. Not to be strictly associated with just operating without permits but it is used in markets and public places where they are not needed.

Any more established event requiring location permits, vehicles, sampling and health code permits, or any sort of other paperwork legally required would be laid out in contract between the agency/marketing company/client brand. Especially with the overlap in companies that create and design the program, and those that merely provide the staff, it can be different in every circumstance.

Thanks for the reply and I appreciate the feedback. I know that guerilla is without permit ( just didn't see another thread that would be appropriate to post! :) )

I'm in a unique situation at the moment and I'm seeing client and agency scrambling to organize a sampling program. Unfortunately, getting certain types of permits is sometimes tricky in Philly.
